The "Shoe Box, Storage Box" is a great way to recycle shoe boxes that your not sure what to do with, but you know are to good to get rid of.
I made this storage box for a friend who underwent triple bipass surgery a few weeks ago. I was going to have everyone we know sign a Get Well Soon card, when it occured to me that cards are a thing people only hold onto for a short time. So I decided to put together a storage box as a keepsake that everyone could sign. That is the reasoning behind the white fabic and final product.
The supplies needed for this craft are: a hot glue gun and glue sticks, any size shoe box,
scrap material or paper and any embellishments you would like to add.

Step 1: Cut your material or paper a little wider than the box you are going to use
(this will help you in later steps to create smoother looking corners).
Then cut that same piece of material into a stip long enough to cover the entire box.
If you dont have a piece of materials big enough to cover the entire box, that's ok.
Use what you have and cover one side at a time.

Step 2: Now that your material is cut you can start to glue. I like to start by
glueing the bottom of the box on the inside. As you move around the box it creates
a more seamless look.

Step 3: As you move around the box, glue as close to the edges as possible. When you set the material down on the glue smooth it out as much as possbile. This will make it less likely to see any glue through the material once it dries.
Step 4: Proceed to cover the sides and inside of the box following the same procedures in Step 2 and 3. This is where cutting your materials a little larger will come in handy. Glue close to the edges and fold in the material, like you are wrapping a present.
Step 5: Now that your box is completely wrapped, you can begin adding the final touches.
Final Product: I don't know about you, but I love to recieve gifts that have a personal
touch to them.
